Asset Search, Recovery & Disposal

One of the challenges to the recoverability of debt is identifying, locating, and realising assets from which the debt can be discharged.
CCICM has specialists all over the world with vast experience in locating concealed assets. Whether it is cash in an offshore account, property investments, shell companies, or assets being held by third parties, we have the expertise to locate and, where required, obtain international Freezing Orders to prevent assets from being dissipated. If the issue relates to the quality of the goods supplied we will mediate and potentially arrange for an independent expert to examine the goods and prepare a report.

Asset Re-Marketing

All too frequently exported goods are not collected by the buyer and end up either stuck at a warehouse or port accruing fees or in the hands of an insolvency practitioner.
Our network of brokers and buyers are able to re-market those goods, whatever they may be, and wherever they may be located. Re-marketing through us both realises the best market price for the goods as well as speedily ending the further accrual of demurrage and storage fees.

In the event that amicable solutions are not successful, we have the ability to litigate all over the world. Wherever possible, however, we will also seek alternative means of resolving disputes. Sometimes funding the cost of litigation is not a viable option, either because it is too expensive or the appetite for risk is too low. We offer a ‘Company Verification & Validation service’ that draws on our knowledge base, experience, and global reach. Our service provides due diligence evaluations of your client’s customers before providing credit insurance for any export trade. The service verifies and validates the data that has been provided to the insurer by their policyholder before any transaction taking place which is a fundamental part of knowing your policyholder’s customer.
